    ‘nobody likes to see that’

A favourite of mine (not heard it on the channel yet) is NITBY – Not in the bunker yet – when you have one of those short chips near the green where the sand is between you and the flag. 🙂

I play Mizuno irons & wedges. Recently swapped out my MP243 GW for the same loft in a T1. They’re really good but as others have said it depends what feels good to you. The shop at our range has second hand ones that you can hit a few with. Not sure if you have anything similar nearby but that could give you a feel about the clubs and then you can decide new or used. For info I have 48, 54, 60 in the bag. 60 for bunker and (attempted) flops, 54 for 100 yds all the way to chipping (it’s the multi-tool).

I’ve just bookmarked it on my phone. Works fine when I use it.

I think there’s a bit in there about really knowing your game too. He’s not thinking about trying to fly it high or low, draw it or fade it, he just knows it will fly like it does and go x yards. Doesn’t try to overhit it and he’s obvs done it a lot! I could learn a lot for my game by using the same principles but like most of us, I still have moments of delusion! 🙂

Just a quick question about the sizing, I tend to be XL or XXL depending on the brand. I’m 6′ 1″ and 17st. Anyone able to help. I find that sometimes the XL is a great fit and the XXL too big BUT sometimes the XL is a bit tight and the XXL is perfect!

    I’m out – no offence. 🙂
I can understand why the players have done it. Eye watering sums of money involved, especially for the likes of Poulter and Westwood. I think that it is an example of a more general greed that is prevalent today – not just in golf. When is enough actually enough? If you gave anybody on this forum 10 million from the lottery they would be set-up for life and their family would be set-up for generations. They wouldn’t be going “I need to the win the lottery again”.

I don’t think there are many players that are missed massively except Rahm. I cannot, however, comment on the quality of the golf or the format as I don’t watch based on my principle above. It could also be that I’m quite traditional in my golf thinking – the Masters is amazing because there are no phones on the course, the Open should be a different test for the players (links + wind is always fun).

If somebody, such as yourself, likes it then that’s good too. I like watching the ladies tours which some guys I know don’t like. It’s about freedom to choose.

    Keep enjoying LIV. 🙂

I’ve got a Garmin S70 combined with the sensors. I really like it. Not the cheapest (I had received a wee bonus from work) but is pretty decent. Automatically registers shots, etc. Started using it at the start of last season and I’ve no complaints. I’ve recently added the Garmin Z30 laser that works in conjunction with the watch. Zap the flag from the tee box on a par 4 and it gives you flag distance for the rest of the hole.

I’ve no personal experience with any others.
