    Afternoon Golfmates,

I’m thinking of buying a 7 wood after watching the videos and hearing people’s comments.

I am a 18 handicap player (more like 21/22 most rounds) so looking for advice on clubs people have used recently.

    Thanks in advance

    David

wood is a great club, I got one almost two years ago best golf purchase I’ve made. Mine was a Ping G430 new . But a s Liam has said you don’t necessarily need to buy new or the latest model. There should be good value previous generation models available from all the brands. You’ll be glad you got one.

Our local range lets you have a hit with the 2nd hand clubs to see if you like them. Do you have anywhere near you? Even if you hit a 5 wood that you liked you could then search online for the same sort of spec on a 7. I should’ve mentioned that our range has a pretty decent pro shop attached.

I’ve just bought a ping G430 7 wood very forgiving and easy to launch just like the ping 3 and 5 woods i have , not the cheapest but the 425 model is probably a bit cheaper 2nd hand and just as forgiving
