I’m looking at having a crack at playing a links course over the winter, ideally somewhere not too far to get to from the East Midlands , and as a high handicapper who hasn’t played a links before, also not somewhere brutally tough.
Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions for somewhere that might be worth a look?

      Thanks

      Hi rich
We played hunstanton, brancaster and royal cromer all 3 great about a hour and half drive from peterborough, links courses all depends on the weather if its blowing there are no easy ones lol, they are a bit pricey though…….thankfully as a course manger i got it for free 😁.
      Regards,
      Ian.

Cheers for the recommendations Ian, I’ll definitely check all those out. I’m in Northampton so Norfolk is about as close to the coast as possible from here!

      Rich

You could also look into the 2 courses in Skegness, Seacroft and North Shore.

North Shore is the easiest of the 2.
Seacroft is a true hidden gem.

      Cheers
      Craig

Cheers for the recommendations Craig , they both seem good options for me. Seacroft looks like a cracking course, definitely like to play there.
