ParticipantThinking about a trip to Ireland for 6-10 people in May 2026. Idea is 4 or 5 nights probably hotel based with at least bed and breakfast. Mixture of links and parkland courses would be ideal.
Intend to fly from the UK so would need transport from and to Ireland airport and to each course. Any suggestions for golf companies to use and where to fly to, and which courses to play is appreciated.
Thanks

ParticipantCould try 18ireland.com They do cluster packages. They’ve been mentioned on a couple of videos

ParticipantProbably best to use a reputable Tour Operator. What part of Ireland is your preference, what budget have you set. These Q’s are relevant as the premier links courses are expensive (€300+) and are heavily booked. If you want to play the top links courses you nee to book asap as 75% of 2026 tee times are already booked but there should be availability in May. FYI I’m a member of one pf these premier links in the SW.

ParticipantCould fly into Shannon, play Lahinch, Trump Doonbeg, Dromoland and Portumna (both excellent parklands). Use Galway based Lyons Links to book. Hope this helps

ParticipantThanks Kieran for the info. Your suggestions sound amazing but probably out of our price range. Will probably go for lower cost venues down the east coast, although my heart strings are pulling me towards Tralee😂
Very much in the early planning stage but we will need to get our skates on. Thanks againAugust 18, 2025 at 12:53 pm #4478Paul Curley

ParticipantIf you based yourself in the Dublin area could play the likes of Seapoint and Arklow, (both good links and reasonably priced) and a multitude of parklands to chose from. No urgency in booking these as not the same demand. Can still put together a memorable trip on good courses to fit your budget.

ParticipantHi Paul, there’s a book called “Hooked” by Kevin Markham which gives decent ratings and insight on most courses in Ireland.
If you’re looking at the east coast, I really enjoyed Killeen Castle and the Royal Curragh.
County Sligo is a good balance for value and great courses, you could play strandhill, enniscrone, and rosses point (or donegal murvagh), all links but can be very nice around May if you get lucky with the weather.

ParticipantHi Cathal,
Many thanks for the info. Some nice courses to consider.August 23, 2025 at 12:19 am #4596Kevin Kelly
ParticipantBase in/around Letterkenny. Many links courses within 1 hour. Variety of parkland courses too. Came from US to do this. 2 weeks. Communicated with courses online, booked tee times. Only 1 course made me pay in advance. Best time. St Patrick’s links my favorite.
