Hello folks new to the club, looking for some help looking at buying a set of takomos my world handicap is 8.00 , the advice on the site says i would be better suited to the 101t, however i quite like the look of the forgiveness that the 101 offers, I know Liam uses the 101s and is off a similar handicap, so basically what i’m interested to know has anyone else using the 101s off a similar or lower handicap chosen the 101s and hoqw do you find them ? sorry if this seems a bit long winded
Hi Steve, I’ve had the 101 a while now bought them for states as a second set of Club. The trouble is,I think they’re better than my ping 430s. Fantastic and do exactly what they say they do. I’m more than happy with the 101s. I also bought the wedges quality clubs. I’m using them all the time now, the ping will be going to the states instead.
Think I might take a punt on some Takomos, not heard anyone give them a bad review.
Need to upgrade Jamies irons as well, his were bent 2 degrees flat when he was smaller but he’s outgrown them now. I bet if I treat myself to some Takomos, he nabs them off me…
I’m nervous about the not being able to try them but at £470 it’s just mega value. I e always wondered what type “Heavy Ballesteros” uses and what spec they are?

Respect.I would like to try them also but I’m not sure about risking them without getting a fitting for them.
Steve, I’m in the same boat 🚢, what did you end up with?
I’m leaning towards the 101 MKIIs but the 201 MKIIs look tempting as well.
Could do with new driver and 3 wood to be fair.
