Crazy round stats.

Has anybody ever had a round where you have some crazy stats?

I played with my lad who has just turned 16 on Sunday, and his mate Edward who I believe is just 12.

Ed shot 76 – no double bogeys.
I shot 84 – 27 putts – which is a good score for this old chopper….
My lad shot 72 – hit just 5 greens in regulation and had a ridiculous 21 putts over 18 holes.

Kind of weird because the wind was blowing up to 40mph, and we were all just getting on with the round and none of us really noticed how the others were getting on.

Moral of the story – be good at putting and you’ll score well.

We played at Huddersfield Golf Club, it’s the winter course set up – but not an easy course with a slope rating of 135. If you’ve been watching Liam a while you’ll have seen him vlog the course back when James Robinson worked there – video link below if anybody fancies a blast from the past.
